On Palm Sunday, 20 March 4 p.m., the BACH COLLEGIUM will sing at Zion Lutheran Church, 2313 S. Hanna St. (at Creighton). In this Choral Vespers Service, this 34-voice community Bach choir, directed by Dr. Daniel Reuning, will present the 14 Chorales (hymns) from Bach’s St. Matthew Passion. Also sung will be the Brahms Motet Op. 1, No. 1, a setting of the hymn Salvation unto Us Has Come, and a setting of God so Loved the World (an American Premier) by the Renaissance composer Antonius Scandellus. The public is welcome. There is no charge. A freewill offering will be taken.
